Tinubu: The Birth Of A Crooked Investor, By Abiodun Adeniyi

Tinubu: The Birth Of A Crooked Investor, By Abiodun Adeniyi
October 16, 2022

When it comes to take-over of any business venture either through an amicable or hostile takeover, the prospective, or preferred investor with the successful bid, inherit both assets and liabilities. While the argument for takeover is based on proven track records in relevant field of investment and management, the new board is saddled with how to manage the mess  or improve on the gains of the newly acquired entity. In a bid to address bad history, the new board acknowledges such shortcomings and is seen making effort at averting future occurrences and regain confidence in the brand.

This same principle over the years has been applicable to politics and candidates vying for different public offices in any election cycle. You inherit the gains and the failures of the political party you are running on.

In 2019 general elections with emphasis on the presidential elections, former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was at the receiving end of personality attacks based on the perceived and projected failures of Peoples Democratic Party from 1999 to 2015. He was not spared of the much touted "16 years of PDP misrule" while Atiku also campaigned on the gains of PDP for those 16  years in comparison to 4 years of All Progressive Congress back then.

A new dispensation is upon us and yet again, Atiku is in the contest. Atiku is going about with the gains of the PDP and also a comparative analysis of how Nigerians fared in those 16 years and ongoing 8 years of APC. The APC on the other hand has its members and sympathisers attacking Atiku with the "misdeeds" of PDP.

This brings me to the essence of this post.

For almost 24 years in Lagos State since the return of democratic rule to Nigeria, one party had been in power in spite of its metamorphosis from Alliance for Democary, to Action Congress of Nigeria to APC. The gains  recorded were ascribed to the party and pushed forward in promotion of their candidates for the governorship of the state. One era was not allowed to claim a dedicated glory, these days, it is ascribed to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the flag bearer of APC for the 2023 presidential  elections. It is curious, mischievous and devious the brazen attempt to exclude him from the failure of APC. It is a brazen assault on the sensibilities of Nigerians.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu must bear the burden of the immense failure of the APC  just like Atiku was made and is still made to  bear that of PDP and other candidates of their present or past affiliations.

It is insincere and smirks deceit for the ongoing strong attempts at this.

Like an investor, like any investor, he knew what he signed up for, it is not just about the ticket, it is not about the structure, it is about everything.

You cannot be banking on popularity of Buhari in the North for 2023, the party structures and governors across the country and you do not want to inherit the failure of Buhari and the public resentment against the governors or party faithfuls across board.

It is selfish to do such...

It simply means you are not straightforward and lacking in honour and integrity to be trusted with such exalted office. It simply means you are not going there for our common good, but only for your personal interests.

You are nothing but a power drunken man exhibiting his innate traits of no honour and loyalty to relationship(s). A crooked man."
