The state of Sangara Primary School in the Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State has become so terrible that pupils learn while sitting on the bare floor in the school.

It was further gathered that the school has a population of about 600 pupils who languish under the scourge of sun and rain as they struggle to stay in school and get basic education, which is their constitutional right.
According to photos and videos shared on Twitter by TrackaNG, the pupils could be seen sitting on the bare floor as their teacher taught them by writing on the wall of the unroofed building.
TrackaNG which visited the school wrote, “This is Sangara Primary School, Ningi LGA, Bauchi State. An estimated 600 pupils are taught in a dilapidated structure without a roof, during the sunny and rainy seasons, they sit on the bare floor to learn in unfavourable conditions.

“We call on @BAUCHISTATEGOVT and other relevant stakeholders to construct classrooms and provide furniture for the pupils to learn.”
Meanwhile, in 2018, Governor Mohammed Abubakar-led state government claimed to have had the highest budget allocation for education in Nigeria.
Governor Abubakar’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Ali M Ali, during a media tour in the state, told journalists that out of the 26 per cent of the total budget the United Nations (UN) recommended for education, the state had been able to achieve 20 per cent.
But in the 2022 budget, the Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning, Aminu Hammayo, while giving a breakdown of the state budget allocation informed journalists that the state allocated about N29.931bn which represents about 15.3 per cent of the total budget.
