The letter reportedly came from the terrorists who invaded the community on Tuesday.

There is tension in Gulu community in the Lapai local government area of Niger State after its residents received a notice of another attack on the community.

The letter reportedly came from the terrorists who invaded the community on Tuesday.

SaharaReporters had reported that terrorists attacked Abdulsalam Abubakar General Hospital and killed a man who worked at the hospital.

The terrorists also kidnapped no fewer than 10 people during the Tuesday morning attack.

Among the kidnapped victims were a medical doctor, identified as Ben, and a pharmacist working in the hospital.

A source in the community told SaharaReporters that a letter was seen by the residents in the Vulegbo area near the community, stating that terrorists were planning to attack the community again on October 30, 2022.

“This has made a lot people living here to take their families and relocate to a safer community. Even me, as I am speaking to you, I will leave here today. There is tension everywhere,” the source said.

When asked about those kidnapped on Tuesday by the community, the source said he heard their families have been trying to reach out to the kidnappers to know if they would demand any ransom for their release.

He, however, urged the government to come to their aid to avert any further attack from the terrorists.

“We are calling on the emirate, local government chairman, representatives at state at the national level and security agencies to as a matter of urgency come to our aid. If not, all of us will be displaced from our homes,” he pleaded.
