According to a presidential source, the President will be travelling to Seoul at the end of the month on a five-day official visit.

President Muhammadu Buhari will leave Abuja on Sunday for Seoul, South Korea, to attend the First World Bio Summit in 2022.

The two-day Summit (October 25-26) is co-organized by the Government of the Republic of Korea and the World Health Organization (WHO). Its theme is “The Future of Vaccine and Bio-Health.”

SaharaReporters on Friday exclusively reported that Buhari would be in Seoul, South Korea and London, United Kingdom.

According to a presidential source, the President will be travelling to Seoul at the end of the month on a five-day official visit.

He is expected to leave the Asian country after the event for London where he will be seeing his doctors at Royal Brompton Hospital situated at Sydney St, London SW3 6NP between 1 and 2 November, 2022.

“President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to depart Abuja for Seoul, South Korea on a 5-day official visit to the Asian country,” the source told SaharaReporters.

“The President who wanted to visit Doha, Qatar last month but was snubbed by the Qatari leader is poised to go on a merry-go-round around the world between now and his eagerly awaited exit from power in about 7 months.

“From Seoul, Buhari will proceed to London where he is scheduled to undergo a medical procedure at the Royal Brompton Hospital situated at Sydney St, London SW3 6NP, between November 1 and 2, 2022.”

The cooperation between the Republic of Korea and WHO is thus intended to emphasise not only the aforementioned historical fact, but also the need to begin international stage-efforts on the nature of creativity and innovation essential to combat any future health pandemic.

President Buhari is expected to deliver a statement at the summit, and meet separately with President Yoon Suk-yeol of the Republic of Korea and seek other ways of more effective partnerships that impact positively on the lives and safety of Nigerians during his other engagements and meetings while in Seoul.

Those who will follow Buhari to the summit are: Governors Aminu Bello Masari and Abubakar Sani Bello of Katsina and Niger States; Geoffrey Onyeama, Osagie Ehanire and Adeniyi Adebayo, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Health, Industry, Trade and Investment respectively; and Timipre Sylva, Minister of State, Petroleum Resources.
