2023: Oyo AAC Unveils Governorship Candidate, Running Mate, Vows To Improve Governance

The Oyo State chapter of the African Action Congress (AAC) has unveiled Okedara Kehinde Mojeed as its governorship candidate for the 2023 election in the state.

Chairman of the state chapter of the AAC, Kayode Babayomi, said the party will deliver the state from its economic woes.

 

“We are ready to take it back. We are ready to deliver the Oyo state citizen from economic woes. We are ready to make life meaningful for the people. We have the ideology ready, the mode of engagement and the structural plans to do this. We are ready,” he said.

 

The party’s governorship candidate, Mojeed, said Oyo ought to be like a European country.

 

“We have come to free the residents of the state from these numerous challenges. Oyo state ought to be like the European countries. We are supposed to be the pacesetter and be a good example.

 

 

 

“So, we will save our people, we shall start from the youth and move to the old. We shall make good economic policies, and develop infrastructures among others. We are here to take it back,” he said.

 

Mr Sanyaolu Juwon, who represented the presidential candidate of the party, Mr Omoyele Sowore, at the event, said the party would reform all sectors to bring prosperity to the people of the state.

 

A statement issued by the state chairman of the party, Comrade Babayomi and its Secretary, Olalekan Adisa, said, “Today 22/10/2022 symbolises a historical day, a day when common people gathered to end the impunity revolves around our state politics. As we all know, this present governance system needs total rejection and a permanent solution.

 

“Our state governance system is being driven by mischievous people with anti-people policies, which calls for an intervention of an incorruptible political party such as African Action Congress to proffer solutions.

 

“We present before you, the good residence of Oyo state Champion, Mojeed Kehinde Okedara and other courageous candidates for the state House of Assembly.

 

 

 

“We also seek your collectiveness in our quest to get rid of all political merchants that are making lives difficult for the people. We believe with your support; Oyo will be free from political jobbers.”
