Abducted Wife Of Nigeria Security Corps, NSCDC Commander In Nasarawa Regains Freedom

Dandaura was kidnapped from her residence in Gidi-Gidi area of Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. by unknown gunmen.

Victoria Dandaura, the wife of the Commander of the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Apollos Dan-Daura who was abducted by terrorists has been rescued by security operatives.

This is contained in a statement by NSCDC spokesman Olusola Odumosu, in Abuja.

Odumosu said that the kidnap victim was rescued on Friday at about 9:20pm somewhere in the Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Dandaura was kidnapped from her residence in Gidi-Gidi area of Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. by unknown gunmen.

The commander’s younger brother, ASC1 Ezekiel Dandaura Samu, personnel of the Corps serving in Nasarawa State Command who sustained gunshot injuries in the cause of the attack is still receiving treatment in a hospital facility and is in stable condition.

“The Commandant General, NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, wishes to appreciate the efforts, maximum support, and cooperation sister security agencies rendered in this rescue operation.

“He assured the general public that the Corps under his watch will continue to protect lives, properties, and all Critical National and Infrastructure in the country,” Odumosu said in the release on Friday.
