This was coming barely three weeks after the university lecturers under the platform of Academics Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) suspended their eight months strike actions.
A Nigerian public university, the Federal University of Health Science, Azare in Bauchi State has fixed N351,000 as the charge for medical students ahead of the 2022/2023 academic session.
This was made known in a circular released by the school bursar on Sunday, adding that students studying Nursing, Radiography, Nutrition and Dietetics are expected to pay N336,000 for each session, while foreign students are charged N2,500,000.

ASUU had argued that one of the main reasons they always embarked on strike was to ensure all Nigerians, particularly from poor backgrounds, could access free and quality tertiary education.
SaharaReporters had on Saturday reported that another strike by the lecturers could be looming over the October half salaries paid by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government.
The ASUU National Executive Council meeting of the lecturers was already ongoing to decide whether they would embark on a fresh strike or not.
SaharaReporters earlier reported that the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment defended the government’s payment of half salaries to the striking lecturers.
A NEC member, who does not want his name in print, said members of the union across all the branches were disappointed about the action of Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige.
The official said their members had it on good authority that it was the minister who wrote to the necessary quarters, directing them not to fully pay October salary to lecturers.
“I can confirm that, ASUU NEC will meet on Monday, November 7, to take a decision on strike action or not. This is an aftermath of half-salary paid by the Nigerian govt.
“Branches say they are disappointed in the FG. The union should have a decision on the same day,” he said on the phone.
