Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted some illicit substances concealed in a car tyre along Abuja-Kaduna highway.
NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, who made this known on his verified Twitter handle, posted a video of the operation on Tuesday.
He asserted that another extreme method deployed by a drug trafficker to conceal illicit drugs had been uncovered.
In the video, some of the operatives were seen cutting into a tyre of a car and exposed some drugs seen in capsule format.
"This is yet another revelation on how drug traffickers conceal illicit substances in their bid to evade detection.
"This video shows how a mule hid illicit drugs in his car tyre, travelling with it in the night along Abuja-Kaduna rd but still got caught by @ndlea_nigeria officers," the statement reads.
