Governor Wike also has a lineup of guests, especially from opposition political parties who visit the state to commission projects in the next two weeks.

Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo State and former National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) arrived Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital on Tuesday night as the state Governor, Nyesom Wike, invited him to commission a flyover project he built.

The project of which Oshiomhole is billed to commission on Wednesday (today) is located on Ada George road, adjacent to the private residence of Governor Wike in his country home of Rumueprikom in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area.

Wike’s invitation to Oshiomhole is another subtle confirmation of his rift with the Peoples Democratic Party’s leadership headed by Iyorchia Ayu, whose removal Wike has several times demanded.

The governor, who is leading four of his colleagues to “rebel” against the party’s leadership is also on collision course with the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, whom he (Wike) has threatened would not get the solid votes from the South-South, which is believed to be a PDP stronghold.

On his arrival in Port Harcourt, Oshiomhole was received by Governor Wike, his Deputy, Ipalibo Harry-Banigo and other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders in the state.

Starting with Oshiomhole of the APC, Governor Wike also has a lineup of guests, especially from opposition political parties who visit the state to commission projects in the next two weeks.

It was gathered that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party has also been scheduled to commission the 9th flyover at the popular Ikoku Junction, an Igbo dominated trade zone for Automobile Spare Sparta in the state.

Also, on Friday, President Muhammadu Buhari will be in the state to inaugurate the Port Harcourt Campus of the Nigerian Law School.

And on Monday November 21, Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), will be in the state to commission another project.
