Tragedy has struck Achi town in Oji-River Local Government Area of Enugu State as gunmen attacked and killed a former Commissioner for Rural Development in the state, Gab Onuzulike and his elder brother, Elvis.
Onuzulike was also a former Chairman of Oji River Local Government Area.
They were reportedly shot dead on Friday evening at Nkpokolo Achi, while they were returning from a burial ceremony in the area.
An elder brother of the politician, Onuzulike, who was with him, was also shot dead.
A source, however, said that a team of security men gave the gunmen a hot chase, killed one of them and arrested another member of the gang.
The police in Enugu State are yet to make an official statement on the incident.
