Terrorists Raid Zamfara State Communities, Kidnap Over 100 Residents

The terrorists raided several villages including Kanwa village in Zurmi Local Government Area of the state on Sunday.
 

 

Terrorists have reportedly invaded some communities in Zamfara State, abducting over 100 people, including women and children.
Daily Mail reports that the terrorists raided several villages including Kanwa village in Zurmi Local Government Area of the state on Sunday.
The Zamfara State Commissioner for information, Ibrahim Dosara, and residents of the communities on Monday confirmed that more than 40 people were kidnapped from Kanwa village.
Also, a resident of Kwabre community in the same Zurmi Local Government Area said that no fewer than 37, mostly women and children were abducted.
A resident of Kanwa village said that "Right now, Kanwa village is deserted, the bandits divided themselves into two groups and attacked the community. They kidnapped children aged between 14 to 16 years and women."
It was further reported that in Yankaba and Gidan Goga communities in Maradun Local Government Area, at least 38 people were abducted while they were working on their farms.
Lamenting the incident, Daily Mail reports that the Commissioner for Information claimed that the terrorists are using the abducted victims as human shields against air raids from the Nigerian military.
