Describing the sit-at-home order as very unfortunate, the pro-Biafra group stated that it was no longer about the agitation for Biafra.

The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has condemned the five days sit-at-home order declared by Nnamdi Kanu’s self-proclaimed disciple, Simon Ekpa.

Describing the sit-at-home order as very unfortunate, the pro-Biafra group stated that it was no longer about the agitation for Biafra.

It queried why some people have allowed themselves to be used by agents of the Nigerian government to turn the South-East into a war zone.

MASSOB in a statement issued on Wednesday, signed by its National Director of Information Comrade Edeson Samuel, queried, "How can someone who claimed to be fighting for the freedom of his people will at the same time turn around kill and destroy the economy of the same people he is fighting for?"

It noted that several innocent youths had been killed extrajudicially by Nigerian security agents with many others still languishing in various prisons in Nigeria without facing trial.

It said, "Now you are adding more pains and sufferings to the same people. This is no longer agitation for the liberation of the Biafra people.

"MASSOB will not support anybody who lives outside Biafraland and is giving order and counter-order that will affect the lives of Igbo Biafrans negatively.

"MASSOB is urging Ndigbo to ignore the threat and go about their normal businesses."

The foremost pro-Biafra stated that the main aim of the people ordering people to sit at home is to create a crisis in the South-East and give the Nigerian government reasons not to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

"These agents of Nigerian government must stop these evil acts against Ndigbo now.

"MASSOB and other Biafra agitators will not allow faceless people paid by Nigeria government to destroy all the pro-Biafra groups had laboured for years.

"This is the same act of sabotage Raph Uwazuike did, and it has relegated Ndigbo to become the least populated tribe because we refused to participate in the last census."
