He assured the people of Southern Kaduna of Sowore’s readiness to curb the life-long insecurity that has bedevilled the area if elected President of Nigeria.

Haruna Magashi, the vice-presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) for the 2023 general elections says the party will restore peace in the troubled Southern part of Kaduna state if voted into office.

Omoyele Sowore is the presidential candidate of the party for the election.

Magashi stated this in his Christmas message to Nigerian Christians.

He assured the people of Southern Kaduna of Sowore’s readiness to curb the life-long insecurity that has bedevilled the area if elected President of Nigeria.

He said, “My dear Christian brothers and sisters, I wish you a merry Christmas. At this time, my heart sympathises especially with the Christians in the Southern part of Kaduna State for your ordeals.

“In deciding who you vote for in the upcoming 2023 elections, I enjoin you to look at your current situation and make sure you vote for those that will change your pathetic condition today for a brighter future.

“I assure you that voting for the AAC under the leadership of Mr Sowore will guarantee you a better and prosperous Christmas next year.”

Kaduna is one of the worst-hit states in terms of terrorist attacks in the country.

Many communities especially in the Southern part of the state have been living at the mercy of the terrorists and bandits, who have been killing, maiming and kidnapping residents with reckless abandon.

Last week, a mass burial was held for 40 residents killed by terrorists in Mallagum and Sogwon communities in the Kaura Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that all the victims were Christians of Catholic and ECWA denominations.

The gunmen attacked the two villages, killed a number of residents, and burnt houses and foodstuffs worth millions of naira.
