Nigerian Police Arrest Man For Allegedly Kidnapping Dad, Collecting N2.5million Ransom In Oyo

According to Ajayi Okasanmi, the spokesman of the command, the suspect was arrested around the Kambi area of Ilorin, the state capital, by officers attached to the anti-kidnapping team of the Kwara police command.

A suspect, identified as Issa Naigheti, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force, Kwara State command, for allegedly kidnapping his father and collecting a ransom of N2.5million.

According to Ajayi Okasanmi, the spokesman of the command, the suspect was arrested around the Kambi area of Ilorin, the state capital, by officers attached to the anti-kidnapping team of the Kwara police command.

Naigheti has reportedly confessed to the crime.

The police spokesperson, Okasanmi, said, “The suspect confessed under interrogation to having conspired with two others to kidnap his father, Bature Naigboho, in the Igboho/Igbeti area of Oyo State and collected N2.5million ransom.”

Okasanmi further revealed that the case would be transferred to Oyo State, which was where the crime took place.
