2023 Elections: Make Borders Impenetrable For Foreign Elements – Buhari Orders Nigerian Immigration

President Buhari on Tuesday in a statement issued by Sola Fasure, the Media Adviser to the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, ordered the NIS to enhance border surveillance and control ahead of the general elections.

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) to make Nigerian borders impenetrable to foreign bodies who might want to come into the country and manipulate the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

President Buhari on Tuesday in a statement issued by Sola Fasure, the Media Adviser to the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, ordered the NIS to enhance border surveillance and control ahead of the general elections.

The Interior Minister, Aregbesola also conveyed President Buhari’s order to the leadership of the Nigeria Immigration Service while inaugurating the Katsina NIS Command office and Roll-Out of the enhanced e-Passport in the State.

“President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered that Nigerian borders should be made impenetrable to foreign bodies who might want to come in and manipulate the election process or engage in other nefarious activities,” the minister said.

He noted that President Buhari’s order was that between the present time and the period that Nigeria would conclude all the elections, adding that the NIS would make the country’s borders impregnable, even after the elections.
