According to sources, the incident happened on Wednesday evening at Eke-Otu in Amechi Awkunanaw, Enugu South Local Government Area of the State.
It was a tragic evening for residents of Enugu State as gunmen believed to be cult members attacked the campaign convoy of the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Enugu North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Oforchukwu Egbo.
According to sources, the incident happened on Wednesday evening at Eke-Otu in Amechi Awkunanaw, Enugu South Local Government Area of the State.
The assailants were reported to have killed the driver of one of the buses in the convoy and his body burnt was together with the vehicle.
SaharaReporters earlier reported that some gunmen also attacked and killed the Labour Party senatorial candidate for Enugu East senatorial district, Mr Oyibo Chukwu along with five supporters in the same Amechi on Wednesday evening.
