Boko Haram Terrorists Fire Rocket At Polling Unit During Election In Borno, Northeast Nigeria

Suspected members of Boko Haram have fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a polling unit in the Gwoza local government area of Borno state, Northeast Nigeria.

It reportedly disrupted the voting exercise, as voters scampered to safety.

According to sources, some people sustained varying degrees of injury but no life was lost.

The terrorists fired the RPG far from the Mandara Mountains bordering Gwoza and the Cameroon Republic, sources said.

 

Gwoza, about 150km from Maiduguri south, is the hometown of Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, who is re-contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
