The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Tinubu, has won the presidential election in Ekiti State.

He polled 201,486 votes to emerge to beat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
Atiku and Obi polled 89,554 and 11,397 votes respectively.
Ekiti is the first of Nigeria’s 36 states and Abuja to formally declare the final result of the presidential election.
It could however be recalled that Ekiti is currently under the APC-led Governor Biodun Oyebanji administration with high influence of the former governor and key supporter of Tinubu, Kayode Fayemi.
