BREAKING: Atiku Defeats Tinubu, Peter Obi To Win Own State, Adamawa, By A Landslide

The result was declared by the collation officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Lamun Mele, on Monday, at the state coalition centre in Yola, the state capital.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has been declared the winner of Saturday's presidential election in his state – Adamawa.

 

The result was declared by the collation officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Lamun Mele, on Monday, at the state coalition centre in Yola, the state capital.

 

The commission declared Atiku as the winner in the state after polling 417,611 votes. The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu came second with 182,881 while the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, came third with 105,648.

 

Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party polled 8,006 votes.

 

The total number of registered voters is 2186465; accredited voters, 764834; total valid votes, 731104; rejected votes, 30481 and total votes cast, 761621.
