A Nigerian policeman has shot his female lover dead and also killed himself in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The incident was said to have happened around Chapel Of Redemption UMCA in Agba Dam Housing Estate in the town and caused tension in the area.
“This was said to be Sergeant Michael Olalere, serving at Kwara State Police Command. He killed himself and his girlfriend, at Ilorin earlier this morning,” a security source told SaharaReporters.
Calls put across by SaharaReporters to police spokesperson in the state, Okasanmi Ajayi were not picked nor returned.
