SaharaReporters learnt from the Kaduna governorship election collation centre that the returning officer for the local government, which is one of the top three local governments in the state had gone “missing in action.”
The returning officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State has reportedly gone missing, SaharaReporters has learnt.
SaharaReporters learnt from the Kaduna governorship election collation centre that the returning officer for the local government, which is one of the top three local governments in the state had gone “missing in action.”
This is as signs emerged that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) could upset the ruling All Progressives Congress and the chances of Senator Uba Sani, its governorship candidate and Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s anointed successor.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rt. Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan, has won in five local government areas out of the seven LGAs announced so far.
The candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Uba Sani, is trailing by winning in two of the local government areas announced so far.
Results officially announced so far showed that the PDP won in Kaura, Kajuru, Makarfi, Sanga and Jaba local government areas, while the APC won in Giwa and Ikara local government areas.
