2023 Elections Not #NigeriaDecides, They Should Be Captioned #INECAndPoliceDecide –PDP Campaign Spokesman, Daniel Bwala

According to him, the elections do not qualify to be captioned as #NigeriaDecides but #INEC, PoliceDecide.

The presidential spokesman to the 2023 Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organisation, Daniel Bwala, has mocked Nigeria’s 2023 general elections, saying the elections were rubbished by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agents.

According to him, the elections do not qualify to be captioned as #NigeriaDecides but #INEC, PoliceDecide.

He said the only political party that is not complaining about the activities of INEC and the police during the elections is the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Bwala said 2023 will go down in Nigeria’s history as the year in which the opposition political parties contested the elections not against the ruling political party but against INEC and the police.

He said, “When I tune to television stations where I see election reporting captioned “Nigeria Decides” “Borno Decides” “Lagos Decides”, I laugh. It should actually be captioned as “INEC and Police decide”.

“Have you not noticed that the only political party not complaining about INEC and the police is APC? APC candidates allegedly awarded the contracts for the production of BVAS, Ballot papers and results sheet. Na the legacy be dat ohh.

“When some of these INEC officials and Police go home after the elections, what would they tell their children about the Nigeria they want to leave for them? I am just curious.

“One thing institutions of government don’t realize is that by making themselves willing pawns in the hands of politicians against the citizens, they become the first casualties when democracy fails.

“The 2023 elections will run down in Nigeria’s history as the year in which the opposition contested the elections not against the weakened and rejected governing party,  but against INEC and Police.

“It is quite surprising that Asiwaju has not said a word to lower the temperature, sue for peace or encourage violence free elections in Lagos. Could this be a sign of things to come? I am nervous about his Pandora box honestly.”
