26-Year-Old Rasheed Kashamu Wins Ogun House Of Assembly Elections, Defeats Incumbent

The Independent National Electoral Commission conducted governorship and House of Assembly elections on Saturday across the country.

The 26-year-old candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the Ijebu North Constituency 1 in Ogun State, South West Nigeria, Rasheed Kashamu, has been declared winner of the Saturday's governorship election. 
The Independent National Electoral Commission conducted governorship and House of Assembly elections on Saturday across the country.
Rasheed Kashamu, son of the late Senator Buruji Kashamu polled 10,004 votes to defeat the incumbent member of the State Assembly, Sylvester Abiodun (a.k.a SLY) of the All Progressives Congress.
At 26, the younger Kashamu will probably be the youngest House of Assembly Member in Ogun state in the dispensation.
Kashamu has a B.Sc in International Business and Management from Brunel University, London. He also has a Master of Science degree in International Finance and Investment from the University of Surrey.
