In a statement signed by its Chairman, Rabiu Isa, on Monday in Kaduna, the group said an attempt by the INEC officials, particularly the Administrative Secretary of the Commission in Kaduna State to subvert the will of the people and inadvertently throw the state into its worst crisis in history was unacceptable and condemnable.

A group, Movement for the Restoration of Democracy and Good Governance, has warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to throw Kaduna State into its worst crisis by subverting the will of the people.
The statement read "The people of Kaduna State know whom they voted for, and it is the candidate of the PDP, Isa Mohammed Ashiru, as the uploaded results on the INEC IREV Portal have shown.
"The people of Kaduna State will reject and resist any attempt to impose on them a candidate and a party that have been widely rejected for their unpopular, insensitive, and divisive policies,” stressing that “we, therefore, demand the immediate declaration of the winner of the election.”
“We are aware and have, in our possession; an evidence of the compromise reached between the APC and the INEC Administrative Secretary, Mal. Auwal Mashi, and will make them available to the public in due course. We have also reliably gathered that the APC and its candidate are offering the Returning Officer and Mr. Mashi, a mouth-watering N2billion to go ahead with the official announcement despite the demand by opposition agents for a review of some of the disputed results in some of the LGAs mentioned above.
"Mashi should know that the people of the state will hold him accountable for any action that will subvert the will of the people and create chaos. We also want to warn the Kaduna State Government, security agencies, and INEC not to dare the people of the state by intimidating and threatening the people with arrests or curfew. Any attempt to do so will fuel an uprising that will be worse than the #EndSARS protests.
"Let everyone concerned take action now to prevent a possible breakdown of law and order. A stitch in time saves nine," Isa declared.
The group also called on the INEC Headquarters to immediately direct its officials to do the right thing by reviewing the results of Lere, Birnin Gwari, and Kudan where the authentic results were manipulated in favour of Uba Sani of the APC.
