Kano Imposes Curfew As NNPP’s Kabir Wins Governorship Election Amid Tension

Yusuf Abba Kabir, the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in Saturday’s governorship election in Kano State has been declared the winner of the poll.

Meanwhile, the state government has imposed a dawn-to-dusk curfew following tension generated after the governorship and State Assembly elections. 

This was disclosed on Monday in a statement issued by Malam Muhammad Garba, the state information and internal affairs commissioner.

According to Garba, the curfew was imposed to prevent a breakdown of law and order.
