Suspected Political Thugs Burn Down High Court Building In Ebonyi State

Arsonists suspected to be political thugs have attacked and burnt down a state High Court in Owutu-Edda in the Afikpo South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

According to reports, the Registrar of the court, Mrs Oluchi Uduma, confirmed the incident to journalists in Owutu-Edda.

Uduma confirmed that the hoodlums invaded the court on Tuesday and set the building ablaze, adding that the court building, documents and other valuables were completely burnt down.

Also confirming the incident, the Chairman of Afikpo South Local Government Area, Mr Chima Nkama said that the matter had been reported to the police.

However, at the time of filing this report, the Ebonyi State Police Command has not made an official statement on the incident.
