Nigerian Police Operatives Arrest Three Ritual Suspects In Abuja, Recover Coffins, Exotic Cars

The Nigeria Police Force, Federal Capital Territory Command has said it arrested at least three suspects on suspicion of being ritualists at Jikwoyi and Orozo along Karu area of the FCT.

It was learnt that three empty caskets, one Toyota Prado, one Lexus 330 Car, and 15 mobile phones were recovered from the suspects.

The suspects were identified as; Uluko Adukwu, 28, Salisu Aduh, 38, and Adams Halilu, 24.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, Zone 7 Command, Abuja, SP Istifanus Sunday Bako in Abuja on Friday, noting that a team of detectives stormed Jikwoyi and Orozo along Karu axis on Wednesday following actionable intelligence.

According to the statement, the trio, all residents of the nation’s capital and from Kogi State, were nabbed with two boys – ages 11 and 13 – suspected to be their victims.

"The gang confessed to using charms to defraud people and giving charms to internet fraudsters who perform rituals, aka Yahoo Plus. The fraudsters in turn use the charms on their targets, sometimes resulting in the death of some of the victims.

"Three empty caskets, one Toyota Prado, one Lexus 330 Car, and 15 mobile phones were recovered from the suspects.

"Also recovered were clothing and women’s underwear believed to belong to dead victims," the statement read.

However, the Zone 7 AIG, Kayode Egbetokun (now DIG) advised individuals to be careful where they worshipped and to also report suspicious activities to the police.
