It was learnt that a vehicle conveying the gas exploded and caused the fire outbreak that led to the death of some passengers.
Some persons have been feared dead in a road accident involving a fuel tanker in Osun State.
The accident occurred around Ode-Omu community in the Ayedaade Local Government Area of the state.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi, noted that they had not been able to ascertain the dead but the injured had been taken to the Ise Oluwa Medical Centre in Ode-Omu.
She said, “No detail for now because we have not been able to ascertain the dead but the injured have been taken to Ise Oluwa Medical Center, Ode-Omu.”
"A vehicle that carried gas exploded causing the accident," she added.
