Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, is set to extend the Guinness record for the longest cooking marathon to 100 hours.
Recall that her initial attempt to break the record, and now extension, has garnered a lot of support on social media and among Nigeria's elites, with President Muhammadu Buhari, “President-Elect” Bola Tinubu, and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
She has also received encouragement from ladies and Nigerian celebrities, as well as congratulations from the previous record holder, who set the record earlier in the day.
SaharaReporters had reported that the Guinness World Records had said it would review all the evidences first before it could officially confirm if Hilda Baci was the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon.
SaharaReporters reported earlier on Monday that Hilda Baci broke the record for the longest cooking time after cooking for more than 87 hours and 45 minutes.
She broke the record previously set by Indian chef, Lata Tondon in 2019.
