The group stated this on Saturday, while demanding that the Nigerian police should stop all prosecution against Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti.

Human rights and pro-democracy group, Take It Back Movement (TIB) has urged the Nigerian Police Force to comply with the court ruling by releasing the Afrobeat Musician, Seun Kuti from detention.
The group stated this on Saturday, while demanding that the Nigerian police should stop all prosecution against Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti.
“@PoliceNG should comply with orders of the court granting bail to Seun Kuti. Stop the persecution. #FreeSeunKutiNow!” the group wrote on Twitter.

Recall that Seun Kuti was arrested and handcuffed on Monday following his visit to the state police command and the police had continued to keep him in detention despite a subsisting court granting his bail application.
The musician had kept to his word that he would cooperate with the police by turning himself in to cooperate with investigations into the allegation that he assaulted a policeman as captured in a viral video.
SaharaReporters had also reported that Seun Kuti would be unable to attend his concert in Majorca Island, Spain, today (Saturday) as the Nigeria Police Force continued to detain him, all in a bid to find incriminating evidence on him.
On Friday, the Lagos State Chief Magistrate in Yaba, Mrs Adeola Olatunbosun, also amended her order and granted the Nigeria Police Force’s request to conduct a drug test on Kuti.
