The Presidential Transition Council, on Sunday, left journalists intending to cover the activities of the May 29 inauguration of the ‘President-elect’, Bola Tinubu stranded for over three hours due to power failure.

Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) supplies power to homes, companies and offices in the capital city.
However, the situation left many journalists stranded for hours.
The Federal Government had released the programme of events for the inauguration of Tinubu as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on May 29.
Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of the Presidential Transition Council, who unveiled the programme of events for the inauguration at a world press conference in Abuja, said all arrangements had been concluded for a seamless transition of power on May 29.
He assured Nigerians that the litigation in court would not stop the inauguration of Tinubu and the vice-president-elect, Alhaji Kashim Shettima on May 29, adding that the event would bring togetherness, unity, peace and progress.
Mustapha also revealed that adequate arrangements had been made for the safety and security of people throughout the inauguration period.
