
A Twitter user, @KingANAD, who disclosed the information on Gideon’s death on Thursday night said that the corps member with call-up number: NYSC/ADU/2023/058383 and hails from Adamawa State in the North East Nigeria was stabbed to death by “bad boys” at Mararaba area of Abuja.

A Twitter user, @KingANAD, who disclosed the information on Gideon’s death on Thursday night said that the corps member with call-up number: NYSC/ADU/2023/058383 and hails from Adamawa State in the North East Nigeria was stabbed to death by “bad boys” at Mararaba area of Abuja.
“This corper was stabbed by bad boys at Mararaba, Abuja/ Nasarawa where he went to collect waybill. He was rushed to Mararaba medical centre few minutes ago and he was confirmed dead at Mararaba hospital, this is sad,” the tweep wrote.

Other netizens who indicated that they knew the deceased corps member said that he was among the corps members who participated in the talent hunt show in May in Kubwa Orientation Camp during their orientation course.
It was gathered that his family members were already aware of his death and that the management of the NYSC sent an ambulance to convey his corpse to his father’s house in Adamawa State for burial.
Reacting to Gideon's death news, the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, vowed to follow up the matter through the FCT Command.
He said, "This is sad. I will follow up with the FCT command. May his soul rest in peace."
