President Tinubu Meets NNPP Presidential Candidate, Kwankwaso In Aso Rock

The former Kano State governor contested against Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election where he came fourth.
 

President Bola Tinubu is currently in a meeting with the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Whereas Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who came second and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) who came third in the presidential poll, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and some other political parties and their candidates are challenging Tinubu’s victory in the election, Kwankwaso has not indicated interest in challenging the outcome of the election.
However, the purpose of the meeting is yet to be ascertained at the time of filing this story, Punch reports.
SaharaReporters had days ago reported that Tinubu also met with members of the opposition, PDP, who included the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, former governor of Delta State, James Ibori, and the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, at the State House, Abuja.
The trio who are of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were spotted arriving at the presidential villa where they were ushered into the President’s office.
Governor Makinde and former Governor Wike were among the PDP G5 governors that withdrew their support for the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, during the general elections were considered to have been Tinubu’s allies.
