Oyo State Magistrate Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, has ordered the remand of seven people who allegedly hijacked programming at a radio station in the city and claimed to be agitators for Yoruba Nation.

SaharaReporters had reported how Amuludun 99.1 FM in Ibadan was hijacked in May by Yoruba Nation agitators, who reportedly took control of transmission for about one hour.
A source told SaharaReporters that the individuals who identified as Yoruba Nation agitators arrived at the station around 5 am, pretending to be there to make some enquiries.
SaharaReporters later reported that the police in arrested the self-proclaimed agitators who hijacked the radio station.
Those arrested were Noah Atoyebi, Adeleke Gbenga, Abdulganiyu Mustapha, Bashiru Kehinde, Ifagbola Elijah, Oladapo Ajani and Rasheed Jimoh.
According to the Daily Post, the defendants were brought before the court on Monday on four counts of conspiracy and treason and two counts of armed robbery.
The prosecution officer, Inspector Folake Ewe, did not object when a lawyer for one of the defendants, Barrister Abiodun Adeleke, requested medical assistance for his client, Adeleke Gbenga.
Magistrate Adetuyi ordered that the case file should be duplicated and forwarded to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice.
