2023 Elections: INEC Chairman, Yakubu Meets Resident Commissioners In Abuja For Review

Professor Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Tuesday met with all the Resident Electoral Commissioners at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

The deliberation would also centre on preparations for the off-season governorship Elections in Kogi and Imo in November this year.

The meeting is the first of such open for coverage since the 2023 General Elections were concluded.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had recently published the final list of candidates for Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi states’ governorship elections.

At its regular meeting held in June 6, 2023, the Commission approved the final list of candidates for the three off-cycle governorship elections scheduled to hold in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi states on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
