A 36-year-old man identified as Michael Bassey allegedly sexually molested two sisters in Osubi town in the Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.

SaharaReporters learnt that the mother of the victims usually left the children with a female neighbour when she had to go out to work.
But later, she saw bloodstains on the girls and noticed changes in the way they walked.
"She started noticing that her children always spread their legs when walking and she also discovered bloodstains whenever she bathed them.
"She then called the elder one, who is six years old to interrogate her. That was when she opened up to her mother that Michael Bassey always ‘shook’ (inserted) his fingers inside their private parts," the source said.
Bright Edafe, the spokesperson for the state police command, confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters on Thursday.
Edafe said that medical reports confirmed that the victims’ hymens had not been broken, but that clearly, there was an attempt to defile them.
"A suspect was arrested and will be charged to court, though doctors confirmed that their hymens had not been broken, but clearly there was an attempt to defile them. Clearly, there was no penetration," he said.
