As of 12.50 pm on Wednesday when SaharaReporters last checked the site, the hacker’s information was still on the site.
“We are Anon Ghost, we are legion, we do not forgive, we do not forget, expect us,” the information put on the page by the hackers reads.
It also reads, “Hacked by Aliester Crowley. Update your security! Greetings from the Maldives. Find me on YouTube.”
The Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, told The PUNCH that he was not aware of the situation.
He, however, added that prompt action would be taken on the development.
“I am not aware but I will inform the ICT head,” Talabi added.
Last week, the Zone 2 Police Command in Lagos State confirmed the arrest of two members of a syndicate linked to the hacking of no fewer than 1,000 bank accounts in Nigeria.
The spokesperson for the command, SP Hauwa Idris-Adamu, in a statement, said the suspects, who specialised in hacking local banks, were nabbed at their hideout in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, following a petition by the United Bank for Africa.
