A woman's voice supposedly belonging to the wife of the driver is overhead in the video, telling the soldier to allow them to go on their way.

The woman who told the soldier that she is also a uniformed services person asked if the soldier's audacity to stop the vehicle and molest them stemmed from being in his uniform.

"I have broken your mirror, move now," the soldier is overheard telling the occupants of the vehicle while holding the driver-side mirror.

One of the occupants is then overheard responding, "Remove it now! Remove it now!!" The soldier then says, "Guy, are you not a man? Move now."

The occupant again said, "Because of the clothes you wear. It is the clothes you wear we give honour to. You are very stupid. Idiot."

After a while, the soldier who is seen brandishing a horsewhip again told the occupants to move if they were capable of doing so.

"You come out now, are you not a man?" he asked.

The woman Is overheard saying, "You want us to come so that you will be using horsewhip to embarrass people."

Then someone is heard telling the occupants to apologise to the soldier so that they could continue their journey. But the woman said, "What have we done to warrant that? To say sorry because of the uniform? I am a uniformed personnel. I am an immigration officer. The only thing I am telling my husband is it is an offence fighting uniformed personnel; that is why he (soldier) is doing this."

Although, SaharaReporters could not independently ascertain what led to the brawl, however, the National Publicity Secretary of the African Action Congress (AAC) who shared the video of the incident on Twitter, said, "A couple arriving from the US and heading to Ota, Ogun State had a brawl on the road with a soldier.

"According to reports, even from witnesses, the said soldier was driving recklessly and this couple had to caution him to be careful, lest he causes an accident.

"The next thing was that he pursued them, overtook them, jumped out of his car in a Gestapo manner, and asked the woman to open the car that he needs to “discipline” both of them.

"I have never seen this kind of horror before, happening especially to people who were just arriving in Nigeria after their years of sojourn abroad. This is sickening.

"The @HQNigerianArmy must be compelled to look into this nonsense. Why would a soldier put lives in danger for hours, damage people’s cars and threaten to kill, just because he was cautioned? What kind of society is this?

"The couple remained calm in the car as seen in these videos, refused to open, and the soldier, as if he was under the influence of drugs, held on to their mirror, broke it, broke the window, smashed the body of the car."
