The Movement said it is unfortunate that three years after the #EndSARS massacre, victims - living and dead are yet to get justice while many others are languishing in prison.

Human rights and pro-democracy group, Take-It-Back Movement (TIB) has said that the contract award for the mass burial of 103 bodies of #EndSARS victims by the Lagos State government has confirmed the ruthless killing of protesters in October 2020.

TIB said this on Monday while reacting to the contract for the mass burial of the victims awarded to TOS Funerals Limited by the Lagos State government for over N61 million.

The Movement on its Twitter handle said it is unfortunate that three years after the EndSARS massacre, victims - living and dead are yet to get justice while many others are languishing in prison.

"This document is a testament to everything we already know about the ruthless murder of hundreds of #Endsars protesters. Three years after, victims, living and deceased yet to get justice. Many still languishing in prison," TIB said.

SaharaReporters on Sunday reported that the Lagos State Government confirmed that it plans to conduct mass burial for the 103 casualties of #EndSARS, but said that the casualties are not victims of the Lekki toll gate shooting of October 20, 2020.

A statement issued on Sunday by the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Health, Dr Olusegun Ogboye, stated that the casualties are from across the state.

SaharaReporters reported that a letter from the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency confirmed a move by the state government to carry out a mass burial for 103 victims of #EndSARS close to three years after their deaths.

The letter confirms the award of N61,285,000.00 (Sixty-One Million, Two Hundred and Eighty-Five Thousand Naira) contract to TOS Funerals Limited for the mass burial of the 103 victims of #EndSARS protests. However, the letter did not state the number of people killed in Lekki or any part of the state.
