There Must Be No Voter Intimidation, Malpractices In Imo State Election – NNPP Governorship Candidate Warns

The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) in Imo State, Hon Uche Ben Odunzeh, has stated that there must be no form of voters’ intimidation, ballot-box stuffing, and electoral malpractices during the November governorship election in the state.

Odunzeh added that he was committed to addressing the pressing issues faced by the people of the state which had been neglected by the incumbent administration of Hope Uzodinma, who had a “grip on power.”
Speaking through his media office in a release signed by Joshua Elekwachi, the NNPP candidate asked the Imo State residents to change the status quo.

The state governorship election comes up November 11, with same exercise to be conducted in Kogi and Bayelsa states.

The release by the media office said, “Ben Odunzeh has promised to restore the fragile security of the state and create massive job opportunities for teeming Imo youths. In recent times, Imo State has faced its share of electoral challenges, leading to concerns over the integrity of the electoral process.

“Odunzeh has vowed to address these issues head-on and to ensure the implementation of a transparent and accountable electoral system before, during, and after the election.

“He has articulated a comprehensive plan to prevent voter intimidation, ballot-box stuffing, and electoral malpractices, instilling hope among the people that their votes must truly count,” his media office said.
