CSU’s decision comes on the heels of a barrage of criticisms from Nigerians over the non-release of Tinubu’s academic records.

Some Nigerians on platform X, formerly Twitter, have called out the Governor of Illinois State in the United State of America, JB Pritzker, after the Chicago State University (CSU) locked its official X account amid bombardment over the academic records of President Bola Tinubu.

CSU’s decision comes on the heels of a barrage of criticisms from Nigerians over the non-release of Tinubu’s academic records.

Tinubu’s credentials show that he graduated from CSU in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting and management.

However, there have been allegations bordering on discrepancies with Tinubu’s certificate.

A few days ago, Tinubu through his lawyers said that his academic records printed by the CSU were fraught with errors and inconsistency with the ones he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the 2023 general elections.

Tinubu blamed an unnamed clerk of the university for the errors.

Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has said that the errors in Tinubu's Chicago State University (CSU) certificate validated why he (Atiku) raised his petition.

Atiku, through his lawyers, said a closer scrutiny of the documents by his legal team showed that the president had two copies of the certificate which also presented even more damning revelations.

SaharaReporters observed that Nigerians on X did not back down in calling out concerned authorities over alleged Tinubu’s academic record scandal in Chicago university even after the institution locked its Twitter page.

It was observed that some of the attackers, who claimed to be supporters of Labour Party, said the governor of Illinois State’s silence showed that he was aware of the alleged scandal.

A user, Anny wrtote: “You're still quiet Mr governor,  seems your certificate was forged from your state University for you as well.”

“Why are u covering up BOLA TINUNBU'S fraudulent certificate he got from your school?,” another user, Unemployedman 94 added.

Dmanlex diamond also told the governor that “The economic impact you seek will come only if  @ChicagoState  will spill the truth about  @officialABAT  forged certificate. Failure to do so will expose your state corrupt practices more to the world.”

“This is to remind you Mr governor that Chicago State University should be investigated... The school is allagedly selling degree to Nigerian Politicians,” Omajemite Don wrote.

“Criminal enterprising politician from the United States. Your dirty linen are out in the open. Mafia connection. Chicago State Fraudversity. We see your handwork, sir,” Four-eyed Badger added.

@joshisbak Nice said,  “Now tell @ChicagoState to put the integrity of Illinoisans first by releasing the credentials of "Bola A. Tinubu" to the public. If not, most people will take Chicago State as one that encourages forgery, criminality and other vices
