The youths had accused Governor Hope Uzodinma of complicity in the security challenges in the state.
The Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), the youth wing of the Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has accused the apex organisation led by Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and Dr Alex Ogbonna, of being complicit in the killing of youths in Imo State.
The youths also accused Governor Hope Uzodinma of complicity in the security challenges in the state.
The council made the allegation in a statement jointly signed by its National President General, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka and the Secretary-General, Comrade Nweke Cedric Ifeanyichukwu, describing Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide and Governor Uzodinma as “accessory of Imo killings.”
According to the OYC, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide “has proven that she is a maverick, money-making group led by notorious conspirators with fecal stains on their ears bankrolled by the arch conspiratorial element like Gov. Hope Uzodinma as masterminds of the killings going on in Imo State since forty-one (41) months now.”
The OYC said that “Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide wrung her hands and had her mouth muted when about eight (8) Otulu youths were butchered in their prime by the demonic blood sucking cult known as Ebube-Agu under the behest and/or goading instructions of Gov. Hope Uzodinma.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide national executives were always basking in the comforts of their homes sleeping under air-conditioned apartments when over 170 Houses were burnt down in Oguta with over 50 people killed.
“Moreso, yet, even in the sacrilegious faces of the carnages, the dastard destruction of lives, property and the field of bloodbath that took place in Orlu, Orsu, Oru East, Oru West, Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta, Ngor Okpala, Owerri Municipal, Owerri North, Okigwe, Isiala mbano, Ehime mbano, Okigwe, Mbaise, Ideato North, and Njaba, the so-called Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the parental body, took to an ominous unperturbed slumber, unconscionably snoring adamantly with no human conscience to caution Gov. Hope Uzodinma and his murderous political mercenaries.”
