A 26-year-old woman identified as Jennifer Dan has been found dead in a hotel in the Ikotun area of Lagos with a ripped stomach.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident said Samuel – the prime suspect – had been arrested by the police.
According to the police spokesman, Samuel confessed to committing killing Jennifer but did not state his reason for doing so.
Hundeyin said the suspect would soon be charged.
“On September 11, 2023, at about 11 a.m., one Solomon reported at the Ikotun Division that at about 8:00 a.m., same day, Dan, one of his lodgers was found to have been killed in her hotel room by a 30-year-old man seen last with her.
“Based on the report, a team of detectives was mobilised to the scene, and the deceased was seen lying on the floor with her stomach pierced with a scissor.
“Her remains were evacuated, and the suspect arrested at his hideout in the Ikotun area. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation.”
