At least four women and two men were reportedly killed in a night raid by gunmen in Kaduna State, the state government has confirmed.

A resident of the area, Timothy Sani, told SaharaReporters that the assailants stormed Takanai-Gora around 9:00pm, killing six persons, among them four women.
"Those killed were buried on Wednesday morning," Sani told SaharaReporters.
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Chairman of Zangon Kataf, Yabo Chris Ephraim, confirmed the attacked in a statement on Wednesday night.
He said, "The six killed were buried Wednesday morning in the presence of the local government chairman, Francis Sani.
"Those injured include Kubai Adamu, Judith Adamu, Abigail Adamu, Dennis Joseph, Grace Bitrus and Adamu Ibrahim.
"The Chairman who condemned the attack also appealed to the community for calm and urged all the inhabitants to shun the needless path of violence and embrace peace," Ephraim said.
One Mikailu was said to have been kidnapped in the raid.
The spokesperson for the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Mansir Hassan, did not answer mobile phone calls to confirm the attack as of the time of filing this report.
