SaharaReporters had reported how some gunmen suspected to be terrorists kidnapped some students of the school.

New facts have emerged on how terrorists invaded the Federal University of Gusau, Zamfara State, and stole all the medications found at the university clinic.

This was mentioned by the National Coordinator of the Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG), Jamilu Aliyu Charanchi during an interview with AIT News.

In the interview seen by SaharaReporters, Charanchi said, “Unfortunately, when we came, during our intervention with the school management, we realised that these bandits, when they entered the university, they carted away all the medications at the clinic and we came to realise that the university now, they are mourning the abduction of their students and even to do so many things for the university but not even to begin to think of how to provide drugs for the clinic.

“And at this rainy season time whereby with the vulnerability of Malaria, typhoid and other ailments, it will be unwise at least for the students to be living in the university with at least population 10,000 students in this university without medication.”

Charanchi added that the situation made CNG stakeholders provide drugs and other medications for the university communities to fill the gap created by the terrorists’ invasion.
