Ohanaeze President General, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, who spoke in Owerri, the Imo state capital during a press conference, described President Bola Tinubu's administration as unfair to the South-East region.

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide is contemplating suing the Nigerian Government for appointing only five ministers from the South-East.

Ohanaeze President General, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, who spoke in Owerri, the Imo state capital during a press conference, described President Bola Tinubu's administration as unfair to the South-East region.

According to him, it is "unfair for the President to give the South-East only five slots for ministerial appointments while other zones boast of 10 ministers".

The Ohanaeze leader said such lopsided appointments violate the principles of federal character.

He also appealed to the Nigerian Government to create more states in the South-East region to meet up with other geo-political zones in the country which have either six or seven states.
