The IDF said the weapons manufacturer was responsible for developing strategic weapons and rockets used by Hamas.
The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday said it killed a top Hamas weapons manufacturer.
The IDF said the weapons manufacturer was responsible for developing strategic weapons and rockets used by Hamas.
The killing of Moshen Abu Zina followed Israeli air and ground offensive operations targeting tunnels beneath Gaza City used by Hamas militants.
“An Israeli airstrike killed Moshen Abu Zina, the head of Hamas' Weapons and Industries, who was an expert in developing strategic weapons and rockets used by the terrorist group,” the IDF said in a post on its X (formerly Twitter) handle on Wednesday.
The IDF said the operation that killed the top Hamas member was carried out in conjunction with the Israel Securities Authority (ISA).
It described Zina as the Hamas’ Head of Weapons and Industries.
He served as one of Hamas’ leading weapon developers, with expertise in strategic weapons and rockets, it said.
“We continue to operate in Gaza to eliminate Hamas,” the IDF added.
