Sule represents the Mikang state constituency at the state House of Assembly.
The Plateau House of Assembly has elected a member representing Pankshin North, Gabriel Dawang, as the new Speaker of the Assembly after the resignation of Moses Thomas Sule and his deputy, Hon Gwottaon.
Hon Timothy Dantong, representing Riyom constituency, also emerged the new Deputy Speaker of Assembly.
Sule and Gwotton resigned from their positions on Monday.
Sule represents the Mikang state constituency at the state House of Assembly.
Following Sule’s resignation, Hon Dewan K. Gabriel, a member representing Pankshin North state constituency and member of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), swiftly emerged as the new Speaker of the 10th Assembly while Timothy Dantong, representing Riyom constituency was elected the deputy speaker.
The National and State Houses of Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal in Jos had earlier nullified the election of Moses Sule as the representative for the Mikang state constituency.
The court’s decision mandated the withdrawal of the certificate of return previously issued to him and its subsequent issuance to the All Progressives Congress candidate, Daniel Nanlong, who secured the second-highest number of votes during the election.
