Some parts of Kabba Central Market in Kogi State has been gutted by fire, destroying goods and properties worth millions of Naira.

According to the report, some sympathizers were seen at the scene combating the inferno and prevent further spread, but the intensity of the inferno made containment very difficult, despite their efforts.
"Shop owners were helpless as they watched their goods and wares succumb to the flames, The market, known for its diverse array of goods, from fresh farm produce to textiles and electronics, now stands in ruins," eyewitnesses disclosed.
However, investigations into the cause of the fire were said to be ongoing, with authorities working to determine whether it was a result of electrical fault, negligence, or any other factor.
Meanwhile, Kabba residents have faulted the absence of fire-fighting equipment in the market that would have been helpful in putting out the flames.
