Parents of the students of Federal University of Gusau in Zamfara State, Northern Nigeria, who were abducted by terrorists, staged a peaceful protest on Monday at the Zamfara State Government House, demanding the unconditional release of their children.
The aggrieved parents asked the state Governor, Dauda Lawal and security agencies to rescue unhurt, their children who have spent 72 days in captivity.
Recall that the terrorists abducted no fewer than 24 students of the university, 10 construction workers, a staff of the university and his daughter on September 22 in Sabon-Gida, a host community for the main campus of the federal university.
The protesters vowed to picket the State government house until their children are rescued and released to them.
The parents revealed that the abductors had contacted some of them and the only condition they gave was to have negotiation with the government.
